The Osprey's

Over the last few days I spent time hanging out in a soccer field.  The Osprey built a huge nest in one of the light poles.  Here are a couple of Pix.

What Did Wed Bring

It was another lazy day.  We ended the day at Paul and Muffy's - just a quater mile away.   We had a great dinner, and it was not Italian!!

We ran the pool temp up to the mid 90's - Hmmmm Good

Jim and I went out to do a little Ham Radio - away from the power line noises of the house.  We set up in a local park working out of the back of the car.  While I was sitting there I spotted a HUGE bird.  It turns out it was a Osprey, at least we think so.  I will go back today to see if I can catch him/her flying.

It was another great day, with great weather.

Crap it's Wednesday already

Good morning All,

It is now Wednesday, but I wish it was still Monday, because half of the vacation is now over.

Yesterday morning Paul and I got up early to shoot pictures of the sunrise, which I posted yesterday. The rest of the day brought a trip to the beach to sit around and do some kite flying.

Last night we had dinner at the Crazy Crab, which is located right on the backwater. There were two shrimp boats parked, and as sunset approached it made for some very nice pictures.

Then Liz and Janet had fun with a statue, see the pictures below.

This morning I got up early and met Paul to take a few pictures of sunrise which was 6:49 AM. It was 70 degrees with a light breeze, you could not ask for a better morning.

No one drowned!

I got my new Ham radio setup up. The bands were bad - I opened the kites I brought. Liz and Janet went shopping. Then  Dinner.

The Bad Storms

Just a short note,

The storms that killed so many people on Saturday did not hit the Hilton Head area. Liz and I had some intermittent rain on the last part of the drive - but the skys looked angry.

The trip to Hilton Head SC

Liz and I went to Las Vegas for NAB. We arrived home Thursday night to finish packing for the trip to Hilton Head. But...

I had to go into the office for a review of a capital project, my boss was there at noon, so far so good. but the review and other work items took longer than expected.

Got the car out of the garage at 3:00. There was a billion cars on the road. Route 95 South was a mess. The GPS system said it was 17 hours to drive. It took until mid-night to get to Richmond VA.

We made a reservation at a Hilton Garden Inn. When we got there, no res and no rooms. Every Hotel was full. Drove another hour. I don't know what was going on but every hotel was full!

We made Hilton Head after 5pm - so much for 17 hours.

I can not believe...

So... For all you fans out there, or just friends I have not posted any thing since Xmas.

Any way Liz and I have been busy.

We are now on vacation in Hilton Head SC. We will post pictures and "stuff" starting today
